In addition to using traditional wrapping, stringing and carving techniques, Smith loves to forge new paths to elegance. "I'm always experimenting by combining new metalwork techniques with select–and sometimes surprising– gemstones," she says. "My goal is to create unique designs that charm and inspire."

The collection's clients include Jada Pinkett Smith, Amanda Peet, Paris Hilton, Rachel Ray, Lindsay Lohan and Keri Russell.
Allyson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. After training as a painter and graphic designer at Virginia Commonwealth University, she moved to New York, where she exhibited her work at numerous venues, including the George Adams Gallery and Gallery Hirondelle. She lives in New York City with her husband, film director Mustapha Khan, and their canine companions Boyo and Little Bootsy Collins.
